In the!early 2000s, Colorado Railcar designed and built single and double level self-powered railcars for use on commuter lines that did not have the ridership for traditional heavy rail (a locomotive and passenger cars). These Diesel Multiple Unit cars toured the country, and CRMX DMU 2002 made a stop in Fullerton, California, on June 28th, 2?03. The 2002 was eventually sold to Floridas TriRail, who in turn sold it to TTCI in Pueblo, CO, where it is now stored unserviceable. Unfortunately, sales were hard tn come by, and Colorado Railcar was liquidated in 2008. |
