Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #583 had an unusual consist on the head-end on Feburary 24th, 2015: F59PHI 453 is leading NPCU 90230 (F40PH 230 converted to an unpowered cab car/baggage car). Amtrak F59PHI 452 is powering the train on the rear as well. The train is seen crossing the Santa Ana River, the border between Anaheim and Orange, and in the distance are Santiago Peak (5,689 feet) and Modjeska Peak (5,496 feet), collectively known as Saddleback. |
