On 02/02/02, a pair of Connecticut Southern B39-8E diesels lay over at the CSX yard in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Both of these units, 8552 and 8565, were acquired when their long-term lease to Burlington Northern (and later Burlington Northern Santa Fe) ended. Previously owned by General Electric Leasing, these locomotives retained their original road numbers (and paint, albeit faded) when the reporting marks changed from LMX to CSOR. |
