This is the MTAs "Blue Line," the first line built in MTAs light rail system, opening in 1990. These are the original "Blue Line" cars (though no longer in their original paint), built by Sumitomo/Nippon Sharyo in 1989. |

Valley Metro Rail light rail vehicle 120 B (built by Kinkisharyo International) winds its way down Jefferson Street in front of Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball franchise. On this December 1st, 2012, the weather is pleasant. But during the summer baseball season, the stadiums roof is usually closed to prevent the hot desert sun from making things unbearable for both players and fans. |
