AMTK 792
One doesn't often associate Amtrak with coaling towers, but in the middle of the carrier's Ivy City engine terminal, a remnant of the past still stands. Amtrak SW9 792 swings around one leg of the wye as it heads to work on January 22nd, 2015. AMTK 792 was built as Montour 73 in May 1952. (Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE.)
