Sometimes tracking down ownership of an engine can be tough. Case in point ... this SW1200RS working the Gavilon Grain elevator in Saginaw, Texas. This engine rolled out of GMDs London, Ontario, factory as Canadian National 1317, but after service on the CN, ownership - and the roadnumber - is a bit murky. Once source indicates that this was later owned by Canac, who added the zero to the roadnumber on the cab. There is a "Peavy" on the cab, yet I found no indication that Peavy Grain ever owned it. And there are now CAGX reporting marks stenciled on the cab as well, so that is most likely the current owner. |

The engine is seen here at the Gavilon Grain elevator, where it now spends its days switching grain cars. The elevator's other engine, CAGX SW1200RS 13170 (originally CN 1317), can be teen in the distance. |
