The Chicago skyline makes a fine backdrop for the Amtrak shops in Chicago, Illinois. A wide variety of trains are assembled and ready to head east, west and south - once the allotted time approaches, these trains will back into Union Station (just beyond the yard) for loading. On this September 26, 2017, day, the trains are (from left to right): Train 59, the "City of New Orleans" (left of the shed); train 383, the "Illinois Zephyr;" train 30, the "Capitol Limited;" train 305, "Lincoln Service;" train 48, the "Lake Shore Limited;" train 5, the "California Zephyr;" train 50, the "Cardinal" and train 307 "Lincoln Service" (powered by P42DC 58).
